This product works well for my golden retriever. I live in the south where it's hot and sandy 6 months out of the year, which is a great environment for fleas. It works great, however, if your dog is already infested with fleas you will need to use a stronger medicine to get rid of them, maybe Comfortis or Frontline Plus. After your dog is free of fleas you can use this product to keep them away. I think some folks have been disappointed with this product because they are trying to use it to stop an existing flea infestation. I read the reviews before ordering this for my 80 lb yellow Lab. So far the results are the same as Frontline Plus. No ticks , no fleas,. My dog who is allergic to pool chlorine and some grasses, shows no ill affects or rash from this product. Since the price difference is substantial to Frontline, I expect to use this going forward unless they start price creeping , if that happens I will return to Frontline. |
