This is a great comb, -have used it to de-flea our Samson Cat (he's every bit his name, -very LONG dark brown fur...and LOTS of it). However, -the main drawback is the color. The black is nice and aesthetically pleasing, -matchy-matchy with a lot of our pets' stuff, but it's impractical for this application. It would be even better to find this product in a white or lighter color (haven't thoroughly researched this make & model to see if that exists). The fleas (and the debris) blend in too well where the tines meet the black plastic and it's hard to see if you've gotten them all off the comb in between wipes. It's comfy enough in the hand, Samson doesn't mind it either, sturdy so far, and it really does get the buggers, -quite easily, ...but you want to be sure they all come off in the rinse water, and not go back onto your pet.The plastic flea combs the Vet I worked for gave out/sold worked OK as I remember, and would be better than having no comb at all, but this...
