This controller sterilzes adult fleas and should be used with the Little City Dogs Flea Killer and any Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth for the best and quickest results. We have tried the expensive vet prescribed stuff, local pet store stuff, and every home remedy I could find on the net. THESE PRODUCTS KILLED THE FLEAS WHEN NOTHING ELSE WOULD! We use it with Little City Dogs Flea Killer and Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth (in the yard and house) as well as planting rosemary, lavendar, mint, citronella, and using cedar chips for mulch. I actually caught some fleas, put them in containers with Sevin and other flea insecticide sprays with ingredients equal to Frontline and Advantage... they survived! I have 6 cats and 6 dogs and live in Miami - flea capital of the world. I had previously used Program and loved it but could not afford it for this many pets. It does not kill fleas on your pet but it keeps the fleas that get on your pet from reproducing. Considering the fact that one flea can lay 100 eggs a day and they can hatch in a couple of weeks this just makes sense. But you do need to treat every pet in your house. I bought 2 bulk packs of 100 caps (both sizes) and gave them all a dose 1 month ago. I had been using frontline and advantage and still do occasionally but I'm happy to say that nobody is scratching any more and when I bathe my little white dog I'm seeing no fleas at all. I've also bought the flea killer caps and found them to work really well. I foster for a rescue so the first thing I do is give them a flea killer cap to make sure they aren't bringing fleas to my house. Much easier than dipping or a flea bath. Instead it seems to disrupt the life cycle of the fleas over time.My experience: we had a terrible flea hatch this year and my usual approach, grooming and vacuuming and bathing repeatedly was not winning. I tried several types of spot treatment with no lasting effect even combined with my clean floor and dog approach. The Little City Dog version of Program stopped the outbreak, even though I had to leave my dogs in the care of their very busy doggie daddy. When I returned, the dogs were free of fleas even though he hadn't been able to groom or bath them. |
